Each context is unique and as such it is vital to understand the particular experiences of region. It is vital to have an intimate and detailed understanding of the areas we work.

- Utilising the correct research tools to fulfil a range of functions and objectives. Each job requires the right tool. This means firstly reviewing the current corpus of work and assessing the gaps in knowledge. If gaps are evident, then the correct research methods are chosen to plug those gaps and understand the full picture. Rigorous and ethical research methodology is the first step to creating accurate analysis and development of implementable policy prescriptions.
